Realtors from 12 states recently participated in a national bell-ringing event for the Salvation Army in an effort to help address the needs of communities across the country.

More than 53 agents from the Hawaii Island Realtors and the West Hawaii Association of Realtors participated at 14 locations islandwide during the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Fund event on Dec. 9.

As a result of their efforts, the bell-ringing day brought in $1,425 in East Hawaii and $2,440 in West Hawaii.

The donations from the Red Kettle Fund help feed hungry families, provide presents for children in need, heat the homes of struggling senior citizens in cold climates and bless millions in need.
